What to do when you’re stuck

Does this happen to you too? You’re working on a goal, and everything’s going pretty good, and then suddenly – roadblock! Maybe your children get sick or maybe you discover a leak in your kitchen, or maybe you just have a really busy week. And suddenly, you can’t seem to get back on track. You slip into survival mode and you stop moving forward toward your goal. And often, when you stop moving forward, you actually start moving backward.

So what’s a girl to do? Take one simple step. Do one little thing towards your goal. Maybe that’s taking a ten minute walk (even when you’re supposed to go for twenty) or working on a project for thirty minutes before bed (even when you’re supposed to work for an hour) – or maybe it’s finally pushing publish on your blog when you haven’t posted anything for a week. Ahem.

When you feel the old habits start to creep back into your schedule, don’t let them take control. Move forward, even if it’s just a little bit, even if it’s not all that you had planned…get back into the habit of making progress and you’ll be back in the swing of things before you know it!
