Summer Makeup Tip: Try a Bronzer!

During the summertime, we are often exposed to more sunlight than any other time of the year, which means our skin naturally gets a little darker than normal.

Since our skin tones are darker, that means the foundation we normally use could be too light. So instead of your normal foundation, try using a bronzer.

A bronzer is a great alternative to an everyday liquid or powder foundation and gives your face a sun-kissed glow to match the rest of you! Plus, it’s a little lighter and quicker to apply for a great summertime look!

Makeover your hairstyle!

Sometimes, all it takes is a little change to give you a fresh perspective on things…and your hairstyle is a great place to start!

Alisha’s tip:

Since having a newborn and three year old at the house, I barely have time to take a shower, let alone do my hair. I usually throw it up in a bun just to get it out of the way, but then I look in the mirror and think “gross!” So sometimes to improve my hair-do a little, I add a head band.

Usually it is just  a simple solid color band, but if I’m going out anywhere special, sometimes I use one with a little decoration. Headbands are fun to use, inexpensive to buy, and can make a crazy hair day a little less hectic.

Alana’s tip: My hair really needed a quick trim, but it is hard (especially at this time of year) to find time for a haircut. My solution? I called the place where I take my kids for their haircuts to see if they could fit us all in!  They happily agreed!  So, this morning I got a fun and light new hairstyle while Lucas played and watched a cartoon!  Plus, the price was right 🙂 Win-Win!
